Founder and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Crystal A. Hollenbeck, MS, PMHNP-BC

Crystal Hollenbeck is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Crystal Clear Mental Health. A native of Rapid City, she brings a deep understanding of the Black Hills community and a warm, grounded approach to adult psychiatric care. She is committed to collaborative decision-making, clear communication, and evidence-based treatment that respects each person’s goals, values, and lived experience.

Crystal provides medication-focused care for adults, with clinical interests in anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar spectrum disorders, sleep concerns, and adjustment-related stress. She integrates lifestyle-focused guidance when appropriate and strives to create a space where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make informed choices about their mental health.

Crystal graduated from Stevens High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Black Hills State University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University in 2010 and spent her early nursing career working extensively in a specialized eating-disorder treatment facility, followed by inpatient and outpatient roles in gastroenterology. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Mount Marty University in 2023.

Before founding her own practice, she worked as a psychiatric provider at Manlove Brain and Body Health. Her time there strengthened her clinical foundation and expanded her experience in adult psychiatry.

Outside of work, Crystal enjoys traveling—having visited four continents so far—and loves gardening, cooking, hiking in the Black Hills, and spending time with her family and her beloved kitties.
